The magnificent, indigenous garden at Pumula Lodge is the perfect setting for nature lovers and bird watchers alike. Pumula boasts an abundant bird life and more than 120 species have been identified to date. For true birding enthusiasts, the Woodbourne bird sanctuary is a mere 3 km from the lodge and well worth a visit. Here the many visiting waders can be enjoyed at leisure. Or, take a close drive to the surrounding Knysna forests and enjoy a pleasant walk on one of the many trails. You might just catch a glimpse of the shy and elusive Narina Trogon.
