Measures implemented at Pumula Lodge to ensure guests can enjoy a safe and healthy stay:
- All staff are checked each morning when they arrive for the following:
– Fever – their temperatures are taken and recorded
– Dry cough
– Sore throat
– Difficulty breathing
– Redness of eyes
Should anyone show signs of the above they are refused entry to the establishment and referred to the nearest clinic. - A ‘Footbath’ is installed at each of the three entrances where guests and staff can rinse the soles of their shoes in disinfectant. It consists of a towel soaked in disinfectant and housed in a shallow tray. There is just enough liquid to rinse the soles without wetting the rest of the shoe.
- Hand sanitizers are placed at each of the entrances where guests can either spray their own hands or be assisted by one of our staff.
- All staff are wearing masks and maintaining a safe distance. They also wash their hands regularly with soap and water, dried with a papertowl.
- All work surfaces are disinfected before and after each use.
- Carpets are vacuumed three times a week. Tiled floors swept each day and mopped with a disinfectant.
- Bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected daily.
