Covid – 19 Virus

Health & Safety

Measures implemented at Pumula Lodge to ensure guests can enjoy a safe and healthy stay:

  • All staff are checked each morning when they arrive for the following:
    – Fever – their temperatures are taken and recorded
    – Dry cough
    – Sore throat
    – Difficulty breathing
    – Redness of eyes
Should anyone show signs of the above they are refused entry to the establishment and referred to the nearest clinic.
  • A ‘Footbath’ is installed at each of the three entrances where guests and staff can rinse the soles of their shoes in disinfectant. It consists of a towel soaked in disinfectant and housed in a shallow tray. There is just enough liquid to rinse the soles without wetting the rest of the shoe.
  • Hand sanitizers are placed at each of the entrances where guests can either spray their own hands or be assisted by one of our staff.
  • All staff are wearing masks and maintaining a safe distance. They also wash their hands regularly with soap and water, dried with a papertowl.
  • All work surfaces are disinfected before and after each use.
  • Carpets are vacuumed three times a week. Tiled floors swept each day and mopped with a disinfectant.
  • Bathrooms are cleaned and disinfected daily.
